Teachers - JK to Grade 8

for Waninitawingaang School in Kejick Bay

Kejick Bay is part of the Lac Seul First Nation and is a semi-isolated community. The community of Kejick Bay is an island situated 35 km north of Sioux Lookout, Ontario. During the winter months the community is accessible by winter road. During the summer the island is accessible by boat. Parking is available at Archie's Landing where security is provided. Teacher accommodations available in Kejick Bay.

Qualifications:

	Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent
	Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or eligible for membership and provide a Criminal Reference Check.
	Sensitivity to, knowledge and understanding of First Nation education issues are essential.
	The candidate must be familiar with the Ontario provincial curriculum and be able to adapt it to local needs.
	This position will require the successful candidate to be flexible and able to meet new challenges.

Duties:

	Teach diligently the classes or subjects assigned by the principal.
	Encourage all students in the pursuit of lifelong learning.
